During the City Council meeting held on Tuesday 7, 2017 Eagle Pass Water Works System General Manager Jorge Barrera presented information over the item.
“This is a resolution for a public hearing its on the land use assumption and capital improvements that we have presented. We just haven’t gone through the public hearing and that is what we’re here today for,” said Barrera.
Legal Counsel Heriberto Morales then presented the council with the resolution seeking for the action being requested by the EPWWS.
“All this is doing is just for you to have a hearing so you can hear from the general public or anyone who has an interest if they’re in favor or against it,” said Morales. “If they want additional information Mr. Barrera and his team should be able to provide it and address any questions that they might have. They can also do a short synopsis of all the land assumptions and capital improvements plans are going to entail.”
The City Council approved the resolution and a set date for the public hearing to be held on December 5, with a second option of December 12, 2017 at 5:30pm at the Eagle Pass City Hall.
