The event will be taking place at the UMC clinic located on 2525 N. Veterans Blvd. from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Jessica Ramirez, health advocate for UMC, says the class will focus on the two subjects because they are both at the forefront of discussions during October, but are also two subjects that adversely affect women all over the nation.
“We at UMC invite the community to come by and sit down with us and listen to the informative presentation that are going to be presented on both subjects. We hope that you can join us and encourage for women to get their yearly screenings and mammograms,” said Ramirez. “For anyone that is a victim of domestic violence please reach out for help and never forget that you’re not alone in your struggle.”
