Candles for Life Advisory Board Members include Mike Garcia, Joan Garcia, RN, Maria Menchaca, Lilia Garza, Ana Tovar, Julieta Odeneal, Juliet Martinez, RN, Rosa de la Garza, Naina Jimenez, Carmen Urueta, Dr. Ricardo de los Santos, Debra de los Santos, Jesus Casas, CPAand Patrick Ogren.
Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey E. Cantu was also present and congratulated both entities for working together on such a worthy cause.
The funds will go towards the organization’s main goal to continue helping cancer patients with funding while they battle and get treatment.
Accompanying the Candles for Life Committee were a group of cancer survivors who thanked Hector Cerna for the donation, and for always supporting the organization.
Candles for Life is in preparations for their annual Walkathon Festival which will be taking place on October 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Shelby Park. The event will include food booths and concert featuring live music from Alkanze, David Mares, Victor Hugo Ruiz Jr. Y su grupo Zaaz and Mister Chivo.
