People in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania lost their lives on 9/11 in attacks carried out with hijacked airplanes by terrorists orchestrated by Osama bin Laden.
A September 11 memorial will be held Monday morning in honor of those killed in the tragedy that occurred 16 years ago.
More than 300 firefighters and paramedics were killed on 9/11 and the Eagle Pass Fire Department will be on hand to pay its respects to those fallen heroes.
The event will be held at International Bridge No. 2 on Monday morning and all law enforcement and military personnel are encouraged to attend.
