Maverick County Commissioners Court meetings are back on the air after being taken off for quite some time.

Maverick County IT Multi-Media Specialist A.D. Ibarra announced the news at the Commissioners Court meeting held on Monday, August 28.

The county meeting can now be seen on Public Access Channel 14, the same channel that the City of Eagle Pass uses for their meetings and Public Service Announcements.

“We’re now live on channel 14 where we will be transmitting all commissioners court meetings live,” said Ibarra. “We had a very successful test run with Spectrum this morning and thanks to Tomas Aguillon Director of Governmental Affairs , Mr. Saucedo and Louis Garcia we are live at this time.”

Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo stated that he was glad that the county could go back to broadcasting their meetings for the public to view.

“I just want to take the opportunity to thank the officials of the City of Eagle Pass who have allowed us to work in conjunction with them in utilizing that channel,” said Saucedo.

Commissioners Court has their regular meeting every first Monday of the month at 5:00 p.m., and special meetings scheduled for the third week of the month and often call for other meetings depending on unforeseen issues that may come up.
