The Maverick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy.
The department received a call from the boy’s family on Sunday reporting the incident that occurred in Seco Mines.
“My officials went and they investigated, they made reports, and they took the little boy to San Antonio to the lab,” said Sheriff Tom Schmerber. “We’re waiting for the results.”
The case remains under investigation.
