Fourth of July festivities began with the traditional parade in downtown Eagle Pass on Tuesday.

Dozens of families lined the streets to watch the floats and presentations of 40 organizations, businesses, and city officials as they made their way down Leona Street and Jefferson Street, through Monroe Street, Main Street, and Ryan Street.

Participants included 4H, CC Winn Student Council, Darkside Racing, Eagle Pass Police and Fire Departments, VFW, Boy Scouts, HEB, Mayor Ramsey English Cantu, Mayor Pro-tem Yolanda Ramon, local sports teams, and several pageant winners, among others.
