The event will be taking place at the police department from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
VIN etching is the process of recording a vehicle’s identification number on all windows of the vehicle. The process is done as a deterrent for Auto Theft. The placing of the VIN on the window reduces the chances of the vehicle being stolen for the purpose of dismantling and selling it for parts.
The event is free of charge, and the whole community is encourages to take advantage of this service which is offered by the Eagle Pass Police Department and the Texas Auto Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority.
