“I am humbled to be put in a position to serve again,” said Nevarez. “We have made great strides in the house but there is always more work to do.”
Nevarez was just part of the 85th Texas legislative session where he was able to author and pass a variety of laws that will be beneficial to his constituency in House District 74.
Nevarez began his career in public service in his community of Maverick County serving as a Trustee for the Eagle Pass Independent School district and then proceeded to run for the position of State Representative in 2012. Along the way Nevarez has traveled thousands of miles meeting up with his constituency.
“We will continue to serve our constituents across the district with pride and with the spirit of never backing up from any challenge,” said Nevárez.
Nevarez will be seeking re-election beginning in March of 2018 with the democratic primaries taking place, and general election during the month of November.
