At approximately 9:30 p.m. a deputy made contact with a CBP agent who stated that a secondary vehicle inspection was conducted on a 2007 Dodge Ram. Upon searching the pick up, two clear baggies containing a black substance later tested positive for 3.5 grams of black tar heroin were recovered. The male and female passengers, identified as 50-year-old Joaquin Raul Navarete and 49-year-old Silvia Alejandra Martinez, were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.
