Victor Javier Rivas was arrested Wednesday morning after an incident that occurred on Friday night in which he led Maverick County Sheriff Department deputies on a high speed chase in the Precinct 2 casino area.
Rivas is being charged with speeding violations, expired registration, and evading arrest.
During the incident Rivas evaded capture and eventually crashed into a tree which led to him being transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for evaluation from his injuries. On Wednesday morning, Rivas was released from the hospital and arrested to face the pending charges.
