The Texas Bucket List, a show about must-see places throughout the state, stopped in Eagle Pass on Thursday.

Host Shane McAuliffe toured the town and visited the Fort Duncan Museum.

“We’ll be featuring this museum, the history behind it, why it’s important to Texas, why it’s important to Eagle Pass, and

why every Texan has to experience it before they kick the bucket,” said McAuliffe. “With our show it’s fun because a lot of Texans might have preconceived notions. We like to show Texans that towns might not be what you expect they are, they might be a lot more interesting, different, and have a lot more to offer than you realize until you get to see it on tv.”

Mayor Ramsey English Cantu said being featured on the program was a great way to highlight Eagle Pass.

“We take this time to welcome our good friends over from Texas Bucket List, and we know [what’s showcased is] going to be something many people enjoy, not only in Eagle Pass, but throughout the state of Texas,” said Cantu. “There’s a lot we have to offer, and opportunities like these give us a greater stage to present the positive aspects of our community, so we’re excited to have him here.”

The crew had previously traveled to Gonzalez, Floresville, and Carrizo Springs before stopping in Eagle Pass, and will later make their way to El Paso.

McAuliffe said the Eagle Pass episode should premier in the fall.
