 The City of Eagle Pass International Bridge System reported slight increases in traffic on both bridges for May, however pedestrian crossings continue to decrease.

   There were 2,379 less people who crossed by foot in May 2017 than in May 2016. Other traffic categories that decreased include 2 axle trucks which decreased by 18.81 percent or 126 vehicles, and 4 axle trucks which decreased by 70.21 percent or 205 vehicles. 

 Car and pickup traffic increased by 2.72 percent, 3 axle truck traffic increased by 12.22 percent, 5 axle truck traffic increased by 22.69 percent or 2,203 vehicles, 6 axle truck increased by 94.31 percent or 116 vehicles, bus traffic increased by 39.34 percent or 48 vehicles, and motorcycle traffic increased by 47.18 percent or 159 vehicles.

   Total traffic for Bridge I increased by 1.20 percent, or 2,091 people, and 3.24 percent or 4,038 people on Bridge II.
