Victims identified in El Indio Hwy shooting

  Two men involved in the shooting that occurred at a residence on El Indio Highway on Saturday have been identified. 

   The incident involving Marco Hernandez, who was shot in both legs, and Michael Aranda who only received a scrape on his forehead is still being investigated. Neither have given any information on the matter to detectives.

   Another man in the area was found to have been stabbed several times in the left arm, but Schmerber said it has not been confirmed whether or not the stabbing was related to the shooting incident.

   The Maverick County Sheriff Department responded to the shooting at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. The shooting occurred off of El Indio Highway at the house in front of the Residential Reception Hall. 

   Multiple ambulances and Sheriff Department units were on the scene. Border Patrol were said to be the ones to arrest the shooter, then turning him over to county law enforcement.
