At approximately 5:10 p.m. Mayra Rodriguez was heading south when her front left tire blew out, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and roll into a ditch.
Rodriguez was accompanied by passengers in the 2002 Jeep. Thankfully, no one was severely injured and after being checked by EMS the occupants of the vehicle were released onsite.
EMS, DPS, Border Patrol, and the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department were present.
The accident occurred only a few hours and several miles south of after another between a tractor trailer and a 1999 Ford Ranger in which one man lost his life.
