UIL honors 11 C.C. Winn Lady Mavericks softball players

The Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) has announced its 2017 softball season standouts including 11  C. C. Winn High School Lady Mavericks who have been awarded with district honors. 

Among the student athletes honored is senior shortstop player Cassandra Flores who was named the 2017 District 29-5A Softball Co-Most Valuable Player along with Uvalde Lobo Denise Longoria. 

C.C. Winn Head Softball coach J.J. Iracheta states that 11 girls from the the C.C Winn Softball were chosen to the 2017 District 29-5A Softball All-District Team.

Winn infielder Daniela Rodriguez and outfielder YaYa Martinez were chosen for 2017 District 29-5A  All-District First Team. 

Also recognized were C.C. Winn infielders Anissa Garcia, Brianna Soto, MaryChelo Flores and outfielders Arianna Soto and Martha Garcia who were all chosen to the 2017 District 29-5A All-District Second Team.

Jasmin Ballones and Connie Hernandez were chosen to the District 29-5A Honorable Mention Team with MaryChelo Flores and Kianna Diaz making the District 29-5A Academic All-District Team. 

 The C.C Winn Lady Mavericks softball season accomplishments include winning a Bi-District Championship and having 11 of their team members being honored by making the 2017 29-5A District honors.
