The Eagle Pass Independent School District and its administration recognized their Police Department  in celebration and remembrance of National Police Week which will be observed starting Sunday, May 14 through Saturday, May 20.

During the EPISD Board of Trustees meeting held on May 9, the school board called upon EPISD Chief of Police Joe Ramos and his department to thank them for what they do, and presented them with a proclamation signaling and honoring National Police Week.

Every year, all local law enforcement agencies including the EPISD Police Department celebrate and honor Police Week with various events.

May 15th is designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the City of Eagle Pass Police Department along with other law enforcement agencies in the area gather at the front steps of Eagle Pass City Hall to observe the day and commence National Police week.
