Union Pacific donates funds to Fishermen of God

Tuesday, May 9, Director of Public Affairs for Union Pacific Ivan Jaime presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to board members of the Fishermen off God Corporation to support efforts to construct a retreat center in Maverick County.

Union Pacific was one of 60 individuals and businesses who supported the Fishermen of God’s Third Annual Golf Tournament, held on April 22, 2017 at the Eagle Pass Municipal Golf Course. The golf tournament was a total success, as it attracted a total of 20 teams, including 80 golfers who competed for various prizes. 

The golfers came from the cities of Piedras Negras, Sabinas, Rosita, Monclova, San Antonio, Del Rio, Dallas, and Eagle Pass. All proceeds from the Golf Tournament will go towards the organization’s building fund. The fishermen of God Corporation was established as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization to construct a retreat center that will host religious and educational retreats for the community.
