The Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles Softball Team traveled to Laredo, Texas this weekend in pursuit of the 2017 Texas U.I.L. Region IV, Class 6A Bi-District Championship.  The Lady Eagles played their hearts out, but came up short, as they lost in two consecutive games by only one run against the McAllen High School Lady Bulldogs.

In the first game held on April 28, the Lady Eagles ended the game with a close score of 8 to 7, and the girls lost another close game 4 to 3 the following day on Saturday, April 29.

That loss sadly ends the season for the Eagles, but the team can hold their heads high as they represented the City of Eagle Pass with great sportsmanship, drive and the heart of champions.

Lady Eagles Coach Oscar Ruiz, his assistant coaches, and staff congratulate all the young ladies who are part of the Eagle Pass Lady Eagles: Alexandra Martinez, Kayla Ochoa, Heather Ruiz, Brooke Diaz, Kaitlin Galvan, Leeann Dunn, Leenette Krezdorn, Isabella Ruiz, Karina Ruiz, Emily Snyder, Elena De Alba, Romy Flores, Lorelei Morales, and Leslie Martinez.
