Pedestrian traffic on international bridges continues to decrease

The monthly traffic report for the Eagle Pass Bridge System shows that 2,088 less people have been crossing by foot than they were in April 2016.

 

Car and pickup, bus, and motorcycle traffic, however, have all increased. Cars and pickups increased slightly by 4,251 vehicles or 1.93 percent; buses increased by 61 vehicles or 61 percent; and motorcycle traffic increased by 142 vehicles or 43.69 percent.

 

Total truck traffic decreased by 5.25 percent, with 2 Axle Truck crossings decreasing 16.83 percent; 3 axle truck crossings increasing by 8.47 percent; 4 axle truck crossings deceasing by 84.21 percent; 5 axle truck crossings decreasing by 4.03 percent; and 6 axle truck crossings increasing by 262.50 percent.

 

 

Total traffic for bridges I and II increased by .57 percent, with traffic on bridge I decreasing by 3.54 percent, and traffic on bridge II increasing by 6.63 percent.
