Eagle Pass Softball heads to Bi-District Championships

  Both Eagle Pass High School and C.C. Winn High School softball teams will be traveling out of town to represent the community as they set out to compete for a Bi-District Championship.

   C.C Winn Lady Mavericks Head Coach J.J Iracheta and his coaches proudly announced that the Lady Mavericks Softball Team will be competing for the 2017 UIL Texas Softball 5A Region IV Bi- District Championship on Friday April 28 and Saturday April 29, against the Flour Bluff High School Lady Hornets in a best of three series to be held in Jourdanton, Texas.  

   The series will be played at the Jourdanton High School Softball Field located at 200 Zanderson Avenue. 

  The first game will be played at 7:00 pm Friday, with the second game taking place the following day at 12 p.m. If needed, game three will take place the same day following an intermediate rest. 

   The Lady Mavericks include MaryChelo Flores, YaYa Martinez, Connie Hernandez, Ariana Soto, Martha Garcia , Jazmin Ballones, Cassandra Flores, Anissa Garcia, K. Amaya, Daniela Rodriguez, and Briana Soto. 

   Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles Softball Coach Oscar Ruiz’s softball team will be heading to Laredo, Texas to participate in the UIL 6-A Bi-District Championship against the McAllen High School Lady Bulldogs in a best of three series from Friday, April 28 to Saturday, April 29 after finishing in third place in District 29-6A.  

   The Lady Eagles Softball team includes Leenette Krezdorn, Lorelei Morales, Romy Flores, Karina Ruiz, Heather Ruiz , Kayla Ochoa, Isabella Ruiz, Leslie Martinez, Elena De Alba, Emily Snyder, Kaitlin Galvan, Alexandra Martinez, and Leeann Dunn.
