Saturday, April 22
• Criminal Mischief: a complainant on the 600 block of Callejon Teran reported unknown subjects had slashed the tires to his vehicle. A report was filed.
• Wanted Person: Valerie Vasquez was arrested at the USBP checkpoint on US Highway 57 after initially being detained when a check revealed active warrants. The warrants out of Maverick County were confirmed and she was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Criminal Mischief: A deputy was dispatched to an AT&T tower on Veterans Blvd where a reporting person stated unknown subjects had caused damages to an air conditioning unit to the electrical room. The total estimated damages were near $5,000 and a report was filed.
• Wanted Person: Deputies were in contact with City of Eagle Pass police officers this afternoon after they had detained a male subject with an active warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. Juan Carlos Medina was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant was confirmed.
Sunday, April 23
• Motor Vehicle accident: Deputies responded to FM 2644 this morning after the driver of a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer reported a deer crossed the roadway and struck her vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle refused medical attention at the time of the report.
• Family Violence: Deputies arrested a male individual identified as Mario Alberto Gonzalez after a complainant reported she had been assaulted by her husband after a verbal argument escalated. Gonzalez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
