Those arrested were identified as the following: Jocelyn Elizondo (21) $1,000 bond; Jessie Reyes III (21) $2,500 bond; Zelda Cathleen Galindo (30) $2,000 bond; George Albert Rosales (42) $3,000 bond; Evelyn Itzel Wheeler (22) $2,000 bond.
All persons arrested for the charge of driving while intoxicated are also subject to the administrative license revocation process as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Jocelyn Elizondo was arrested on Sunday, April 16 at 2:58 a.m. when Eagle Pass police officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 277 and Highway 57. Investigating officers located a blue 2008 Chrysler Sebring which had collided and damaged a utility pole and a chain link fence belonging to a business.
The driver, 21-year-old Elizondo, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after numerous signs of intoxication were noticed by the investigating officer. Elizondo was later confirmed to be intoxicated via breathalyzer exam, and was presented before a magistrate where she was formally charged with driving while intoxicated and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
