“We usually check all of our small engines, so Friday’s shift went to the Maverick County lake to run the motors and do some swift water rescue maneuvers,” said Fire Chief Manuel Mello. “It’s more to get personnel familiar with the boats and some of the maneuvers we use in rescuing people from waters.”
Training will continue for three staff members who will be traveling to South Padre Island for to learn more about EMS reporting systems and medicare and medicaid rules and regulations on billing to be more efficient.
