It was then reported to The Texas Commission of Environmental Quality in which they arrived into the community to take water samples of the affected waterway on Tuesday February 15, 2017.
It’s been three weeks since TCEQ conducted, sampling tests of the supposedly contaminated waters.
The News Gram contacted Andrea Morrow TCEQ Media Relations Manager on March 1, 2017 in regards to testing results and in which she then proceeded to respond to our inquiry. “TCEQ’s investigation is still ongoing and I ask that you check back with me in a month or so and we will check again.”
Morrow in a phone conversation has stated that testing the samples and coming up with the results will take between 30 to 45 days which would mean the community, Water District, County and Dos Republicas will have to wait up to 30 more days (April 1st) to have answers as to what happened and what or who could be responsible of the contamination, if any.
