HEB announced that they had served a total of 6,125 plates at the Feast of Sharing on Sunday at the International Center of Trade. Authorities of the store mentioned that they served a significantly fewer amount of plates this year as opposed to last. They think that the reason is that they have traditionally had the event at CC Winn High School or at Eagle Pass High School as has been the norm over the past few years. The organizers hoped to serve 8,000 plates, however there were fewer served this year.

They key element in this endeavor is that although a fewer amount of plates were served this year, the objective of reuniting thousands of people in one area was a welcome surprise. HEB would like to thank all of the entities who sent volunteers to enjoy the event as well as all the families who were on hand to take it all in. HEB noted that they provided most of the food for the event and they will continue to do so in the future. This week Thanksgiving will be celebrated the entire week so that our citizens can come together to thank their creator for all of the blessing given to them throughout the year.
