Don Spaulding will be responsible for the administrative and operational leadership for all components of Stat Emergency Center, working collaboratively with Sebastian T. Padron, Medical Director, Governing Board Members and staff to grow and develop our already excellent free standing emergency room centers.
Mr. Spaulding has served as the Tribal Administrator of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas since 2009. He was instrumental in developing a new community health clinic and community wellness center that provides services to the Tribal Members as well as the Tribe’s employees. Prior to becoming the Tribal Administrator, he spent 17 years as Director of Nursing and eventually CEO of the Maverick County (Texas) Hospital District and the local public hospital. He started in health care as a Registered Nurse prior to entering health care administration. His background in both direct patient care and healthcare administration allows for a unique perspective of program design that has a positive impact on patient needs, care, and outcomes.
Governing Board member, Dr. Sebastian Padron stated, “Don comes to us with extensive experience in hospital and managed care operations, service line marketing, staff development, physician practice relations and financial management.”
“He has been a good friend and visionary for the Eagle Pass community by introducing innovative opportunities and providing job growth in the healthcare industry and private sector” stated Dr. Padron.
