During my 6 years on the board, the district has gone through changes in administration, the statewide funding reduction, a number of changes in the required state tests, and facilities repairs.  The academic education of the students has always been my priority and will continue to be in the future. After my 28 years’ experience as an educator and my 6 years serving on the school board I have the knowledge and experience to make me the best candidate for this position.

   My family has grown up in the community and attended school in our district. Currently I have 6 grandchildren attending 6 different campuses within our district. My two oldest granddaughters graduated from CC Winn and are now attending college, one a sophomore at Texas A & M and one a freshman at Texas Tech. I also have a 16 month old who will attend school 4 years from now. It is not just for my grandchildren, but for all the children of our community that I want to serve. Our district must equip our children for their individual and collective futures. I want to be on the board to make the hard decisions to achieve that goal.
