Con la idea de tener mejor servicio y brindar mayor seguridad a esta comunidad tanto el jefe de bomberos el Sr. Mello y jefe de policia  el señor  Guajardo buscan contar con mejor equipo  y mas personal en sus departamentos y estan buscando contratar  y tambien adquirir mas equipo . Por ejemplo  el señor Mello nos informó que posiblemente  en el trascurso de hoy al viernes llegue una nueva maquina extinguidora para asi estar mas y mejor preparados  para poder hacerle frente  a cualquier problema de incendio  que se presente y tambien tiene planes  de ocupar nuevos bomberos para tener un equipo humano mas completo.

    En el caso de la policia, el  jefe  Guajardo está tratando de ocupar a dos nuevos radio operadores  y en un futuro cercano ocupar mas nuevos policias,  e 

inclusive ya se adquirió  una nueva unidad para montarla con todo lo necesario para cuando se presente un crimen  o un robo, dicha unidad es para que los oficiales cuenten con todo lo necesario para las investigaciones. Tambien se habla de  entrenar al personal para manejar los drones  para poder  tomar mejor evidencia en areas complicadas donde ellos no pueden llegar.

Police and Fire Departments get new personnel, equipment

With the idea of having better service and providing greater security to the community, both EPFD Fire Chief Manuel Mello and EPPD Chief Alberto Guajardo are seeking better equipment and more personnel in their respective departments. 

Chief Mello said there was a possibility that sometime this week the department would be receiving their new fire engine, which will help them be better prepared to cope with any fire related problems that present themselves. Mello also has plans to employ new firefighters in order to have a more complete team. 

In the case of the police, Chief Guajardo is looking to employ two new radio operators, and in the near future, more police officers. A new crime scene investigation unit vehicle was also just recently purchased.

There have also been talks of training personnel to use drones in order to collect better evidence in complicated areas that are otherwise unaccessible.
