Holiday Inn Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

The Holiday Inn Express celebrated their new shuttle bus and renovation of the building with a heavily attended ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon. 

The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce helped in organizing the event and board member Mike Garcia emceed the ceremony while attendees were treated to music by the the C.C. Winn Mavericks Band. 

Holiday Inn Express recently made a large investment in the renovation of the hotel located at 2007 N. Veterans Blvd. and they have also added a shuttle service for their guests.

 

Representatives from the offices of both Congressman Will Hurd’s office, and Representative Alfonso “Poncho” Nevarez were present, as well as Consul Ismael Naveja Macias, Chamber of Commerce members Mike Garcia, Martha Garcia, Roberto Mireles, Eagle Pass Police Chief Alberto Guajardo, Port Director John Brandt, Deputy Port Director Pete Macias, President of Piedras Negras Chamber of Commerce Teodoro Rodriguez, and members of the EPISD and hospital administration, IBC JOSE

 

 

Also in attendance were owners from across the country Polo Del Rio, Mr. and Mrs. Alfonso Garcia, Mr. and Mrs. Jorge Buganza.

 

 

“We are honored to say thank you for being here,” said Holiday Inn Express Spokesperson Frank Becerra. “I think everything we do is about customer service, it’s all about working together and supporting each other as a community. We worked really hard and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to be here, we want the opportunity to continue to work with you in the community. There’s a lot of great things coming your way.”

 

Becerra also thanked the hotel staff, including managers and marketing teams, for their hard work.

 

Door prizes and refreshments were given out while enjoying music played by the CC Winn High School band.

 

Garcia thanked sponsors Parrilla San Miguel, Yopos Restaurant, Ashley’s Furniture, Rodee’s Country Fried Chicken, Bealls Department Store, Fuddruckers, Pizza Hut, Barrera Mortuary, EPISD Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez, CC Winn Principal Jose Diaz, Assistant Principal Juan Mendoza, band directors Ruben Rodriguez and Raul Perez, and Father Lawrence of the Sacred Heart Church, who assisted greatly with the event.
