San Luis Elementary 3rd grade students had a special class in which they learned about their heritage
The 3rd grade students and teachers: Miss Aida Escareño, Mrs. Leticia Palafox, Mr. Enrique Salinas, and Mrs. Denise Ramos at San Luis Elementary, have been hard at work learning about our community and how we impact our cities growth.
As a means to further their learning experience, the 3rd graders at San Luis were visited by two brilliant guest speakers; Mr. Jeff Taylor, our city Historian, and Mr. Joe Cruz, from our city’s restoration project, in which they presented the students with some very interesting town facts and an opportunity to have a close look at various artifacts from our Fort Duncan Museum. Students created a memorable experience which allowed them to further their understanding of the impact they will have within our community’s growth in the future.
