On Friday, a woman reported that she had been victim to fraud after receiving a call that her nephew was in trouble. An unknown subject asked for $800 in order to pay off damages made when the complainant’s nephew was involved in the accident, which she sent through Western Union, only to find out that her nephew was never involved in an accident.

“It was a fraud, it’s been happening,” said Sheriff Tom Schmerber. “People call and ask for money and it’s not true.”

Deputies were also notified Friday that a man previously reported missing had been found. A women had reported that her father had gone missing on Thursday when he didn’t come home from work, but the man returned home the next day. He had been in jail in Georgetown.

Saturday morning, deputies responded to a rollover on FM 2644. The driver of a  2011 Dodge Ram stated that he had fallen asleep and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over. The driver declined medical attention.

At 5:34 pm the same day, deputies arrested 22-year-old Xiemena Tamara Selallo after she was found driving intoxicated. Deputies were patrolling the area when they witnessed Selallo, who was driving on the 1900 block of N Veterans Blvd, traveling at a very high speed, lost control and struck a curb. Upon making contact with deputies, Sellallo admitted she had been drinking. She was then arrested for DWI and transported to the county jail.
