Summer Sizzler yields winners in the 50-, 30-, 10- and 4-mile bike races. Cyclists race for the chance at a cash prize during the 13th Annual Summer Sizzler Bike Race. The top three contestants received medals, and the top three best overall times were awarded cash prizes. First place won $400, second place was for $200 and third place took $100.

The Summer Sizzler Bike Race took place on Saturday, July 16, with participants of all ages baring the heat for a chance to win.  

Jorge A. Pérez García won first place in the 50 mile race, with a time of 2:11:55,  Oscar Pérez won second place with a time of 2:11:55:60, and Victor Prieto won third with a time of 2:12.

Top finishers in the 30 mile race include Luis Jesus Cruz De La Garza with a time of 1:24:34; Diego Rodriguez Gutierrez with a time of 1:27:18; Felix Orta De Leon with a time of 1:27:21; Sergio Contreras 1:27:25;  Sergio Z. De La Garza with a time of 1:38:26; David Hernandez with a time of 1:38:27; Giovanni Beattie with a time of 1:40:54; Elizabeth Montes with a time of 1:54:48; and Dora Cumpian with a time of 2:00:41.

Top finishers in the 10 mile race were Mike Salazar with a time of 37:03; Gwendolyn Perez with a time of 37:09; John Salazar with a time of 37:37; Claudia Oyervides with a time of 50:31; and Cristian Aguirre with a time of 51:26.

Top finisher and lone cyclist in the 4 mile race was Sophia Aragon, with a time of 25:34.
