Lowe’s holds clinic for kids to work on building skills
Staff Reports
Our local Lowe’s conducted their Build & Grow clinic this past Saturday, July 9, where 50 participants worked on their building skills with the help of Lowe’s staff who were there to guide them in creating a wooden figure of the superhero “Falcon,” a character from the immensely popular motion picture “Avengers.”
Lowe’s Build & Grow clinics are conducted free of charge on select Saturdays at all Lowe’s stores nationwide. Children learn basic home improvement skills and build confidence while creating a free, wooden project they can take home. Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.
The clinics are recommended for children in grades 2-5, and each clinic provides hands-on instruction to approximately 50 children. The clinic spaces often fill quickly, so those interested in having their child attend can register early at www.lowes.com/BuildandGrow. The clinic calendar also can be found at that link.
