Staff Reports
Commissioner of Precinct 1 Jerry Morales has announced that the Splashpad located in the Maverick County Lake will be open to the general public this summer.
The Splashpad, which has previously been used to rent to community members for special occasions, will now be available for everyone to enjoy Monday thru Friday, from noon until 4 p.m.
According to Morales, there will be no charge for the use of the Splashpad during these hours and can be used for community members to find some relief from the hot weather.
The Splashpad offers families the opportunity to get out of the house without the expense as well as offering safe family fun.
Commissioner Morales encourages community members to take advantage of the facilities at the Maverick County Lake and spend the day at the park.
