No problems were reported after a power outage early Thursday morning by energy company AEP Texas was conducted on the south side of Eagle Pass and Maverick County. Both Eagle Pass Police Department and Maverick County Sheriff said there were no issues during the energy cut.
The outage, which occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., and according to city authorities was to do maintenance on power lines in the above mentioned areas.
The announcement that power would be cut came Wednesday evening and effected the following areas: intersection of El Indio and Brown Street, Loma Bonita, Eidson Road, Loma Linda, Rosita Valley, Lewis Farm Estates, Chula Vista, El Indio, La Herradura, Las Haciendas, Loop 480, Balcones Heights, Las Brizas 1&2, Riverside Acres, Las Quintas, Heritage Farms, Memo Robinson, Camino Del Sol subdivision, South Veterans Boulevard, and the area from Main Street to El Indio Highway.
