With Hector Chavez out, members of Eagle Pass City Council find themselves reviewing applications for a new city manager, and there is much interest in the vacancy.

16 people have submitted their applications for the job, and several candidates are those who previously applied when the position was given to Chavez a few months back. Chavez had denied interest in the role, and surprised the community when he submitted his application last minute. Unfortunately Chavez, did not spend too much time in the position after being arrested by federal agents, creating a problem for the city council. 

The applicants include Julio Cesar Martinez, former EPISD superintendent Jesus Sanchez, Manuel de la Rosa Jr., Yarah Mansour, Ronald Hinson, former EPHS principal Rudolph Bowles Jr., Juan Francisco Zuniga, Kyle McCain, Sergio Javier Nandin, Monica Martinez, Kevin G. Huckabee, William Arthur DiLibero, Michelle Marie Calderon, Juan G. Ortiz, Lynn R. Barett, and Catrina Maxwell. 

The council will revise the 16 applications and decide who will be interviewed, and hopefully hire a new city manager within the next few weeks.

Con la salida de Héctor Chavez, el concilio de la ciudad  se encuentra ahora checando aplicaciones  para un nuevo  gerente de la ciudad, afortunadamente hay bastante interés y son 16 las personas  que han aplicado para esta importante posición en nuestra ciudad. Algunas aplicaciones son las mismas  que habían aplicado hace un par de meses  cuando esa posicion se le dió a Héctor Chavez, una posición que Chavez negó siempre estar interesado en ser city manager, y que al final sorprendió a todo el mundo porque a ultima hora hizo su aplicación, desgraciadamente no estuvo muchos meses ya que fue arrestado por agentes federales dejando un gran problema al concilio de la ciudad.

Se nos proporcionó la lista de los aplicantes, despues de haber  sometido una carta para poder obtener dichos nombres. Los aplicantes son Julio Cesar Martinez, Jesus Sanchez, ex-superintendente del distrito escolar, Manuel de la Rosa Jr. Yarah Mansour, Ronald Hixson, Rudolph Bowles Jr.  ex -principal de la EPHS, Juan Francisco Zuñiga,  Kyle McCain,  Sergio Javier Nandin, Monica Martinez, Kevin G. Huckabee, William Arthur DiLibero, Michelle Marie Calderon, Juan G. Ortiz, Lynn R. Barrett, Catrina Maxwell.  

De estos 16 candidatos  el concilio  estará rebisando las aplicaciones  y ellos decidirán cuales son los que van a entrevistar, y posiblemente  para las proximas semanas tendremos un nuevo city manager en la ciudad.
