Two young girls, ages 10 and 7, were severely injured and transported to San Antonio, the rest of the injured were taken to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. The impact was at a high rate of speed on the side of the driver of the first vehicle, killing him instantly. Abascal's vehicle was directly behind this first vehicle and his GMC Yukon also impacted the flatbed trailer. His injuries were not determined to be life threatening and according to sources, he was released from the hospital at around noon on Saturday.
