Former E.P.I.S.D. Transportation Director Hector Rodriguez was tragically killed in a single vehicle rollover in the early evening hours of Saturday in yet another accident on Highway 277, a stretch of highway that has claimed dozens of lives since the onset of the Eagle Ford Shale Project.
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber informed us of the single accident which occurred at 8:00 pm around the area of Comanche Ranch.
Mr. Rodriguez was returning home from his job at the oil wells just outside the Dimmit County line.
Justice of the Peace Kina Mancha pronounced the body deceased and Maverick County Sheriff's Department along with Texas Department of Public Safety officials took over the investigation.
