Chiefs of Police Alberto Guajardo and Jose Ramos of the EPPD and the EPISDPD have joined forces in order to investigate the incidents which led to these acts of vandalism and according to Chief Guajardo, they will face criminal charges for doing so.
"I know there is a lot of high school spirit in the community, but it's unfortunate when it is taken to an extreme. We got together with the Chief of Police Jose Ramos, a former Eagle Pass Police Officer, we've worked very closely over the years and will continue to do so," said the chief who will be partnering up with the EPISDPD in order to deter any future vandalistic acts, "We welcome the support that people have for both schools, but school spirit is school spirit, but vandalism is criminal mischief. we will investigate and find out whois responsible for these acts and will file charges."
He concluded that the two forces will come together to insure that there are no incidents at either of the five games in which Eagle Pass plays CC Winn and/or EPJ plays Memorial.
"We are taking extra measures and will have more patrol officers as well as detectives. Our patrol officers will be visible for deterrence and our detectives will not be visible for surveillance purposes."
