Both Eagle Pass Police Officers and Maverick County Sheriff's Deputies came together on Friday in union to show support for fallen officer Darren Goforth, they showed solidarity by turning on their emergency lights at exactly 11:00 AM, the exact time of Deputy Goforth's funeral services.

Goforth was shot while fueling up his law enforcement unit in Houston last week.

"We flew our flag at half mast and our dispatcher proceeded to inform all units to stop and turn on their emergency lights for one minute at 11:00 AM Friday morning," said Sheriff Tom Schmerber, "This is in honor of Deputy Darren Goforth who lost his life in the line of duty."

The EPPD also had its Texas flag at half mast on Friday.
