"Last night Eagle Pass City Council approved the committee, the Impact Fee Advisory Committee, which once we give them the information of land use assumption and capital improvement projects, they will see what is needed and the amount of land that is going to be required in the next ten years or so, they will come back and make a recommendation on the impact fees which will be for waste water," stated Jorge Barrera General Manager of the EPWWS, "At this point we have a waste water impact fee inside the city limits ($526) and outside ($726). It is still to be determined if these fees are adequate or need to be raised or lowered depending on the results of this study." Louis Stock, Sammy Juve, Lorena Tinajero, Frances Kypuros and Claudio Heredia will comprise the committee. "At this point we're fully automated with the paying kiosks, the JACKS where people can come by anytime of the day or night to make their water bill payments. All the new radar read meters have been installed, and we're still looking for construction monies to do what we need to do in the Downtown area."
