Medrano fue encontrado culpable de Agravado Asalto Sexual por un jurado en el condado de Maverick, y finalmente fue condenado a 55 años de reclusión en ese caso.

Medrano Sentenced to Eight Years for Fleeing
An Eagle Pass man who fled to Mexico in 2011 during a trial has been sentenced to prison for Failure to Appear.
According to a press release by District Attorney Roberto Serna's office, on August 3rd, 2015, Juan Ramon Medrano was sentenced to eight years confinement in prison for the felony offense of Failure to Appear.
Medrano was apprehended on March 2, 2015 after being a fugitive from justice since he fled to Mexico during a trial in December of 2011 for the offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault.
Medrano was found guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault by a jury in Maverick County, and was eventually sentenced to 55 years of confinement in that case.
District Attorney Serna pledges to continue to make efforts to bring fugitives to justice.
