U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station recovered a stolen vehicle.

On July 31, at approximately 7 p.m., Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass immigration checkpoint on Highway 57, encountered a gray sedan vehicle with three occupants for inspection. During the immigration inspection the agent observed that the driver was acting extremely nervous.  As the agent continued his immigration questions of all the occupants, the vehicle came back registered as stolen out of San Antonio. The driver, occupants and vehicle were turned over to the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

“The utilization of technology and good investigative skills by Border Patrol agents are critical to our law enforcement mission,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Rodolfo Karisch.

For fiscal year 2015, which began Oct. 1, 2014, the Del Rio Sector has recovered 22 vehicles.
