Local artist Gerardo Lopez, who along with Luisa Santibañez, Diego Diaz, Marcos Mares, Adrián Ordáz and Christy Santoya, showcased their labors of love to the citizens of Eagle Pass. Lopez walked us through the exhibit showing us all that was on display. "There's a lot of talent and a lot of culture in Eagle Pass. It is events such as this where we can showcase our talent. What we're trying to do here with Art on Main is to create an awareness here in Eagle Pass that such talent and such culture does exist," he added, "We really want to inject vitality into downtown. "We're hoping that this isn't the last time we do this. The Main Street Project is already working on a second art exhibit because there is that much talent here. We're looking forward to another show with brand new
artists. Hopefully this could become a full time art gallery one day. I would like to make a calling to any artist right here in Eagle Pass or Del Rio, Piedras Negras, Uvalde anybody nearby who would like to help us with this vision. Get in touch with us on the Main Street page."
