This Past Thursday July 9,2015 KFC Eagle Pass donated 75 Meals to our local Boys and Girls Club 2015 Summer Program members.

Boys and Girls Club Director Alfonso Mallen said, "On behalf of the club members, Staff and Board Members we would like to thank KFC for the excellent job they did for the youth of our community. Thank You for your Support!"

Mallen also informed The News Gram that they are awaiting the architect's rendering of the new proposed facilities.

"We have already seen one architect's design and it was very nice, however, the board asked for some changes.  We are still waiting for the second version, but it is going to be a nice building which will have two gymnasiums," said Mr. Mallen at the recent visit by Kentucky Fried Chicken to the Boys & Girls Club Summer Program on Thursday.

He also added that the existing building will be demolished to make way for the new and improved Eagle Pass Boys & Girls Club.

We took the opportunity to ask Mr. Mallen who his assistants and volunteers are helping run the program to which he said that Cristina Cardenas and Anais Mallen are in charge of the game room area, Rodrigo Arreola and Luis Padilla are in charge of the gym, Erica Villarreal and Monica Villarreal are in charge of the learning area, while other employees and volunteers include Esmeralda Arreola, Adrian Arreola, Alex Hernandez, Graciela Arreola, Diana Mallen, Jessica Ortiz and Vicente Zarate.
