"We're going to eat KFC!" exclaimed one eager youngster.
"It's are honor, we're really excited. This is the first time that we do this, but we're looking forward to continue doing it in the future," stated Recio, "The employees that I have here are all donating their time and when I told them what we were doing and who it was for, I really had more volunteers than I needed."
"This is the first time that we receive a free meal directly from a local restaurant to our participants from the Boys & Girls Club Summer Program and this is being sponsored by the Eagle Pass KFC."
Staff members posed for The News Gram cameras as volunteers prepared to serve the close to 100 participants of the program who were seated around a perimeter of tables waiting for their meals from KFC Catering of original recipe chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and biscuits. "I would like to express my appreciation to this business for thinking of us," concluded the director of the Boys & Girls Club.
