He asks that citizens take advantage of the $25,000.00 fireworks display co-sponsored by H-E-B and PARD at 10:00 PM because fireworks are not allowed in the city limits as per city ordinance.
"It's enforced by the police department, the fire department and arson investigators and is punishable by a citation and a fine you will have to come by municipal court to pay if you are caught possessing fireworks in the city limits or if you're caught using fireworks inside the city limits."
Felix Carrasco of the EPFD informed The News Gram of three key points in reference to firework safety: "First of all they are not allowed in the city limits, secondly if you are going to ignite them legally, it must be under the supervision of an adult and lastly any damages done to property or to a third party, you will be held responsible for any and all damages."
