"Es un gran día para Eagle Pass y ciertamente Rosita Valley", declaró el señor Sotelo, quien mostró su agradecimiento a la Comisionada Rosy Cantu, Juez del Condado de Maverick David Saucedo y Corte de Comisionados para su aprobación para volver a abrir el centro a los residentes del sur del Condado de Maverick.
Sotelo llamó a este evento que proporcionó actividades para los reunidos como un bingo o lotería, comida y comodidades para que disfruten también.
"Esto no sólo beneficiará a la gente de mi distrito, sino también serán atendidos los residentes de Precinto 1 como Chula Vista," dijo la comisionada Rosy Cantú, "Muchas veces nuestros ancianos tienen dificultades para ir a Eagle Pass a fin de recibir el cuidado que necesitan sin tener que viajar a la ciudad".
"Nuestra comunidad se extiende todo el camino hasta las areas mas lejanas y nuestras acciones en el consulado llegan hasta aqui. Nuestra 'Ventanilla a la Salud' se extiende a otras áreas de la comunidad. Y quiero hacer algo muy claro, los servicios proporcionamos en el consulado no podrían llevarse a cabo sin la ayuda de la ciudad, el condado y otras agencias estatales y federales, grupos y organizaciones que nos ayudan a organizar este tipo de actividades", dijo Ismael Naveja Macías, "Queremos que los servicios de salud y las medidas preventivas de salud lleguen a la gente y esta es una manera perfecta de hacerlo".
Tom Cary también estaba allí para entregar la invocación en el evento, "Él fue elocuente ya que ciertamente estamos pidiendo a nuestro Dios de toda la comprensión que nos ayude a ser capaz de proporcionar estos servicios."
"Nuestro lema es servir para vivir y vivir para servir, y eso es realmente lo que hace Quad Counties. Nosotros no lo hacemos solos. Lo hacemos en conjunto con otras agencias, el Consulado de México estaba aquí, HSST tambien, sabes somos sólo una pequeña pieza del gran rompecabezas".
Quad Counties Celebrate Re-Opening Of Nick Carr Center in Pueblo Nuevo
Simon Sotelo and Quad Counties were in Eagle Pass on Friday in order to celebrate the re-inauguration of the Nick Carr Center in Pueblo Nuevo along with a bevy of dignitaries who share his commitment to the people on the farthest south of our community.
"It's a big day for Eagle Pass and certainly Rosita Valley," stated Mr. Sotelo, who showed his appreciation to Commissioner Rosy Cantu, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and Commissioner's Court for their approval to re-open the center to the residents of southern Maverick County, "We will be able to provide respectful and needed services."
Sotelo called this event which provided activities for those gathered such as a bingo or loteria plus food and amenities for them to enjoy as well.
"This will not only benefit the people of my precinct, but also the residents of Precinct 1 as well as residents in Chula Vista will also be serviced," said Commissioner Rosy Cantu, "Many times our elderly have a hard time going into Eagle Pass in order to receive the care they need without having to travel all the way into town."
"Our community extends all the way to the farthest reaches of the county and so do our actions as a consulate. Our 'Ventanilla a la Salud' extends itself to other areas of the community. And I want to make something very clear, the services we provide at the consulate could not be accomplished without the assistance of the city, the county and other state and federal agencies, groups and organizations who assist us to organize these types of outreach activities," said Ismael Naveja Macias, "We want health services and preventative health measures to get to the people and this is a perfect way to do so."
Tom Cary was also there to deliver the invocation at the event, "He was eloquent as we are certainly asking the God of All Understanding to help us to be able to provide the services."
"Our motto is we serve to live and live to serve, and that's really what Quad Counties is all about. We don't do it alone we do it in conjunction with other agencies, the Mexican Consulate was here, HSST, you know, we realize that we are just a small piece to the big puzzle."
