"Right now it's part of the parking lot of the school district, but with the adjacent subdivision, this needs to be public right of way," said Mr. Shea, "There is a constructed part of Kilowatt Drive. So the idea is we have to take care of it becoming public right of way. The idea is for the city and the school district to get together and get this dedicated public right of way."
Another thing Shea had to add in reference to important construction projects underway and in the planning stages in our fair city is that whenever you see construction and new development in older parts of town such as downtown, Del Rio Blvd. and areas such as these, it is a good sign.
Shea closed by saying the $9 million addition to Southwest Texas Junior College, warehousing developments such as a 48,000 square foot building for Azteca Trucking, the new Brown Chevrolet location in and around the Adams Street industrial area on the outskirts of town are all going well which also illustrates the growth of our community.
